Our family is looking for a full time or part time caregiver/housekeeper for our son with special needs. He is 23 years old, quiet, friendly young man. He loves to play, enjoys friendly people and very simple to make him happy. His disability from birth consists of a global delay, and is fully dependent as for feeding, mobility and hygeine. His level of development is similar to 3 months child, he can be easily understood through time with facial expressions, gestures, and body language. We are looking for someone who has some experience and ability/passion to learn fast and willing to support parents who are full time employed. Our home is fully adapted with wheelchair access and equipment necessary for supporting our needs. We are open long term commitments . Some of routine tasks surrounding our home would be feeding him, provide medication on time, regular hygiene, walking him to the park, basic housekeeping, laundry and maintaining kitchen. We have bathing services every night so only monitor our home while the service is given is nessesary. Would require some weekend support and we can adapt to a flexible schedule. Summer is more demanding since he is home full time. We can coordinate vacation periods to both our needs. You are a kind and patient care provider experienced with the psychological strategies necessary to coax someone with moderate dementia to agree to bathe. Once the patient agrees to bathing, they don't require a lot of assistance, only for the caregiver to be nearby in case the patient should fall. You can also help to assemble meals in the morning and the evening. A couple of times per week, you will supervise the patient as they bathe (i.e. seated, using a hand-held shower). The patient is very personable, and the main task for the moment is to build rapport.

I'm seeking a caring, dependable, and punctual person to provide part-time senior care for my 90-year-old parent who is still able-bodied and mobile, but who could do with some assistance around the house. The person who fits this role will need to offer consistent supervision to ensure medications are taken on time and aid is provided during mealtimes. The job will entail a weekly commitment of 20 to 30 hours, spreading the workload over Monday to Friday, including mornings, mid-days, and occasional evenings. Aside from overseeing medications and meals, the caregiver's duties will involve light housekeeping tasks like ensuring the bathroom is kept clean, vacuuming floors, and washing dishes. The role may also include running some basic errands, such as grocery shopping. Importantly, I want to enrich my parent's social life, so arranging visits, outings, and trips to stimulate engagement with neighbors, friends, and family is a desirable part of the job. The ideal candidate will need to have a valid driver's license and a car, as there will be times when escorting my parent to appointments or various social engagements is required. We are willing to compensate for such expenses. This job currently requires a live-out arrangement, however, previous experience with dementia patients would significantly enhance your profile, even though it’s not strictly indispensable. As time goes on, the role may develop into a live-in position or require occasional overnight stays. The position is available immediately, so if this role seems to suit your capacities and interests, please don't hesitate to get in touch. I look forward to finding the right person to help make my parent's daily life simpler, safer, and filled with joyful experiences.
