Please read before applying, I must say im on Vancouver Island not near Vancouver. Looking for help cooking, cleaning, errands, at30$per hour, need a team of 3 or so to fill 7 days at 4 hours a day, between11am 4pm 3 days shift a week or 4 days a week shift. I now need help with Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday 3 to 4 hours a day. 🙂

After my stroke in January this year I need help with household chores etc I am generally fairly mobile but my left arm is still paralyzed, the left leg works somehow. I need help shopping sometimes clothing a bit and for showering washing and towelling my back everything else I take care of myself very self-contained so no accidents on a general note going to the washroom myself.. I am 62 years old and live in my motorhome.

Live-In Caregiver Wanted We are looking for a great “live-in” caregiver who will enjoy looking after a fine gentleman, age 99, in a private house in the City of Nanaimo. He has medium-dementia, but is remarkably healthy, enjoys walking outside every day with his walker and caregiver, has a great sense of humour, enjoys companionship, playing board games, and his trumpet and harmonica. You will live in a fully furnished 3-bedroom house, with a yard and patio, free of COVID-19, located in north-Nanaimo close to shopping, medical clinic, library, and oceanfront. One bedroom is for him, one for you, and one for family visitors or the live-out caregiver. Duties include personal care such as bathing, pericare, assistance with toileting, dressing, simple medications, taking vital signs, companionship, and encouraging eating. Home care includes preparing healthy and delicious meals and maintaining household cleanliness. You are responsible to be home at nights in case of need or emergency (in exchange for free accommodations). You are paid a biweekly salary including CPP and EI for 40 hours of work spread over 5 days. The remaining 2 days are covered by a live-out caregiver. We are looking to hire a caregiver, primarily as night shift casual/backup starting as soon as possible. Then switching to a 7-8 week period of full-time night shift starting in mid-December, to cover some of my staff who are going on vacation. I am an adult with a physical disability (spinal muscular atrophy) and require assistance with essentially all physical tasks but direct my own care verbally. During the full-time period, we are looking for somebody able to cover 3-4 night shifts, Sunday to Wednesday. The shifts are 12 hours, from 7 PM to 7 AM. Before December there will need to be training shifts, and there is potential for general backup coverage. After the full-time period, there may also be continued shifts available. Nighttime responsibilities will include toileting, assisted coughing, positioning, setting up the BiPAP, and some additional positioning such as turning on my side. Night pay is $19 an hour and you will be able to sleep for 5-6 hours. As long as there is a way to wake you in case of an emergency, as well as an average of one position change during the night. We are currently looking for full time live in home support . We presently have 7 day a week, 3 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the eve home support, but it is time to have someone live in . My father is a kind and gentle man with moderate dimentia . the home is a very nice home with lots of space . he lives with his cat a young cat that is indoor and out . Family is close by approx 15 mins away . I take Dad on outings and overnight to our cabin or to his other sons . He goes to phisio once a week .

We require a part time caregiver for a young man in a wheelchair in his family home. He has Cerebral Palsy, is non verbal with zero behaviours. A fun, happy guy who loves to socialize in the community. He uses a speech computer. Daily living assistancei required, bathing, dressing, using ceiling lift to transfer. We have a wheelchair lift equipped mini van for outings. He loves music, people watching, having good fun. 24 + hours per week, $24.00 hr to start with full benefits. Training/orientation provided. shifts are day - 9-3:30. evening shifts 3:30-10. Must be available for 1 weekend day shift q 2 weeks. First aid, clear criminal record, drivers licence required.
