Looking for an enthusiastic, highly aware/observant Caregiver to supervise and provide safe/engaging care for my daughter at our home or in yours, providing support with play and with social interactions. Position starts in January and includes picking up from school 3-4 days per week, bringing home (our home initially but can go to caregivers home once trained/comfortable - if agreed), feeding, personal care (bathing and toileting assistance), organizing/tidying and engaging in fun play. She is very verbal, mobile, funny, and is also g-tube fed. Full training is provided. She is a tiny (70 lbs and under 5 feet) 14 year old girl - developmentally around 4-5 years old (except her amazing vocabulary). If you love working with unique kids, have experience or a keen interest in working in a highly rewarding role and can commit to a minimum of 8 months employment (she needs consistency)...then please apply! Looking for someone for ideally for (3pm-7/8pm Tues-Fri and 8 hrs on Saturdays) but can be somewhat flexible on days. Hourly wage is $24 hr+ (based on experience). Will pay for 1/2 hour of travel time every day if coming from outside the Peninsula. Home support worker required for a delightful young woman with disabilities. The client is nonverbal and non-mobile and requires signficant personal and medical support. She is social, and outgoing, with a very positive loving disposition and enjoys spending time in the community. Shifts include an 8 am to 4 pm, 4 pm to 8 pm and overnight 8 pm to 8 am shift. We are seeking one person to join our team for in a Full time role. The day of the week and shift to be selected will be based on discussions with the successful candidate and their availability. The job will start with overnight shifts and then additional shifts may be added in the 4 pm to 8 pm shift time. Starting date is flexible and the position is ongoing. There is flexibility in the shifts you will work. This position will be trained to be able to work on all shifts and provide backup for staff holidays and during times of increased medical support. You are energetic, experienced, confident and can follow specific protocols created to provide the best outcomes for your client. Generally you work independently but connect with your team members at the start and end of each shift. Your team members are long terms staff with decades of experience working with this client. You excel at taking feedback from your employer and incorporating it into your work tasks. You are mindful and present in your work. Candidates may have a nursing, nursing assistant or medical or health care background or home care support worker experience. A safe driving record is required as is a current class 5 drivers license. You have excellent references and a deep commitment and love for this field or work. This position can be live in or live out. This position is open only for candidates in Canada with authorization to work in Canada. There is an LMIA for potential candidates with the appropriate work permit or participating in the Home Support Worker Pilot . Reimbursement of moving expenses is possible for candidates moving from other cities in Canada to this location.

We are in need of homecare for our 85 year old mother who is recovering from a spinal injury. She is currently mobile, able to walk, use the washroom and feed herself. We need someone who can assist with excercises, meal prep, walks around the neighbourhood and overall companionship. Our mother is normally a very active and enthusiastic individual but her injury has caused her to become overly cautious and fearful to move forward in her regular daily routines. We are looking for someone who can assist us in providing care for her. Someone who can connect and engage with her . Our goal is for our mother to ultimately be motivated to return back to her everyday life. Our Mamma is a passionate, fun, humerous Italian who can light up a room. She is very social and enjoys meeting and interacting with new people. Her hobbies are cooking, crafting, gardening and talking. Her first language is Italian but she speaks fluent English. Elderly couple in North Saanich requiring full time care. The 85 year old woman with dementia requires assistance with all activities of daily living, inclusive of incontinence care. She uses a wheelchair for mobility and there is a portable lift in the home for transfers. The 91 year husband requires minimal assistance, mostly with reminders and dinner prep. There is also daily laundry, meal preparation and general household duties required. There is a small dog in the home. Shifts are somewhat flexible but need to fit within the hours of 7:30-1:30 pm, 1:30-7:30 pm or 7:30pm to 7:30 pm. We currently have all shifts available for back up and also regular 24 hour weekend shifts for the month of December. At least one regular ongoing weekend shift available come Jan /23. There are also 6 hr weekday shifts available (1:30pm-7:30 pm)
