We have 2-month-old twins and a 2-year-old. I could use an extra pair of hands helping me care for the infants. (Two turns out to be a heck of a lot of newborns!) I’m really hurting for a chance to focus on just one baby at a time, giving them my love and attention without distraction while knowing that the other is also being taken care of. This also frees up Dad to spend some much needed one-on-one time with the two year old, whom you would not be responsible for. I’d love to find someone experienced and competent enough with newborns that I could occasionally leave babies with them while I took a shower, or they take one baby while I nap with the other. We’re looking for 8hrs of help per day, probably about 3 days per week. Days and hours are negotiable based on your preference and availability, though I am hoping to get help specifically in the late afternoon and evening hours. Maybe 1-9pm. This gets us the slack to give the 2yo a smoother, more consistent bedtime routine. I’m expecting this position to last for two months, with the possibility of turning into something longer depending on how our needs develop. (Everything is changing so quickly these days, I have no idea what we’ll need on a longer time scale than that.) Duties include: * Supporting me while I take care of the babies. (Giving me the slack to give babies all of my attention.) * Laundry, bottle prep, bottle cleaning/dishes, basic food prep, tidying, vacuuming. * Taking one baby through their wake routine so I can focus on the other. * Holding, bottle feeding, burping, changing, soothing to sleep. * Solo baby-care of one or both babies while I nap or shower. I’m hoping to find someone competent and grounded to help me return some semblance of calm and order to the house during these necessarily chaotic times. A bit about us, I’d say we’re adventurous but high orderliness. We tend to hold conservative family values, and are moderately Jewish though not kosher.
