| Work Agreement |
|
Ultimately, the decision and the responsibility to hire a nanny rest
with you. Once you’re happy with the answers and behaviour of your
candidate, and you’re happy with her references, draw up a contract. It
will detail the responsibilities of the job, compensation and benefits,
paid time off, hourly rate, overtime rates, and any other issues you
think should be present.
At NannyServices.ca, we have prepared a template
nanny work agreement for you to use
if you wish.

| Orientation |
|
At the time of signing the contract, or at a later date, arrange to meet
again to orient your new nanny on how the house works, where things can
be found, schedules, important contact numbers, getting help if needed
from family/friends, doctors etc., giving a copy of the house keys,
alarm codes, food, appliances and house rules.
Following all these steps should provide a better basis for making a
decision to hire a nanny to help look after your children. While the
decision and responsibility ultimately is yours, we hope that these tips
will help make the process smoother and safer for you and your family. |
