Searching for Live-in/Live-out part-time child care for our super sweet 1 year old son and our spirited and sassy soon to be 3-year-old daughter. We are planning to continue to grow our family so must be comfortable managing multiple children. We live in an Old Farm House in the Country between Oakland and Wilsonville with our 2 dogs, cat, and chickens. We utilize a wood stove to keep the house warm and inviting in the cold months, supplemented with Propane heat overnight. We have a root cellar where we keep our home canned goods; We do a large garden and try to source our food as locally as possible. We believe with firm boundaries, clear communication and lots of love and affection kids grow into loving and responsible adults. Our kids are encouraged to help with meal preparation, collect the chickens’ eggs, assist with household work, and with pet care whenever possible. This individual will be asked to complete laundry (wash/dry/fold put away), light housekeeping of common areas, load, run and empty the dishwasher, keep a grocery list, snack preparation, plan and prepare meals, plan activities for the kids, occasional pet care, supervise occasional friends, cousins, or guests. Hours are flexible, and could vary from time to time; Typical work week would be Tuesday-Thursday 9am - 5pm. Live-in and Live-out options available. Willing to provide a competitive wage$17-$25 an hour, an annual bonus for each year of employment (up to 10% of Gross wage based on performance), and bi-annual reviews.
