As a resident of Prince George, British Columbia, I am currently in search of a patient, caring, and experienced nanny to assist in the daily nurturing and upkeep of our family home. A significant part of the role entails looking after and caring for our 16-year-old daughter who has charmingly been born with Down Syndrome. We desire someone who will provide her with the love and attention she deserves. The responsibilities of the ideal candidate extend beyond simply caring for our child. They include daily tasks like transporting our wonderful daughter to various sporting, recreational, educational or medical activities as required. We also entail the preparation of wholesome and nutritious meals that cater to her specific dietary needs. Furthermore, the role extends to providing some help and assistance with her homework, to ensure her learning and intellectual development is consistently stimulated. In addition to these child-focused tasks, this role also involves mild household duties and chores. These may include light housekeeping, running occasional errands, performing laundry duties, caring for family pets and managing different food and dietary preferences within the family. We expect the chosen candidate to be able to work for about 30-40 hours each week. The hours are divided among various parts of the day, which may fluctuate based on our needs and requirements. We value flexibility and offer the choice of a full-time or part-time employment arrangement. A live-in potential is also possible as well as the live-out option depending on the candidate's preference and our mutual comfort level. We are offering an hourly rate that starts at $18, with the potential to negotiate based on the applicant's level of experience and expertise.
