I am a huge believer in fun and educational childcare! I am a positive and interactive childcare provider who enjoys coming up with new and exciting ways for kids to be entertained. I prefer to sit down and actually do a craft or play a game with the children I'm taking care of. From educational games such as Hopscotch Spelling Bees to a good, old fashioned round of Hide-and-Seek I will ensure your child is safe, happy and healthy while in my care! I love animals as well! I am currently fur-mama to a mastiff/German shepherd mix and a cat but have also owned a rat and a rabbit, in addition to living with and helping care for various snakes, lizards, and tropical fish. As you can see I have lots of experience looking after many different kinds of creatures of all shapes and sizes! If your pet is a bit unusual or has any special needs I am more than happy to learn new things to ensure that they are also getting the highest quality of care. Grooming, feeding, walking and playing all come naturally to me. I'm the kind of person who always has treats in their pockets and an extra leash by the front door in case of stray pooches. A little about me: I'm an animal lover, enthusiastic reader, and constant crafter. I love to go on long walks with my dog and explore new areas. If I'm not moving around keeping busy then I'm usually curled up with a book or new art project. I like to approach life with enthusiasm and have made it my personal mission to find fun in every opportunity!

I have provided care for children ranging from six months to 17 years old. I have been babysitting since I was twelve and have provided daily care for up to five children, with occasional afternoon care of up to seven children. I also have experience providing care and supervision for children with mental and physical disabilities. I have worked in various daycare and childcare centres, ranging from Play-Based to Montessori. My personal approach to childcare is an age-appropriate mixture of learning through play, problem solving, experiences, support, and independence. I believe that all children are unique, capable individuals, and that every day is filled with learning experiences in a rich tapestry of opportunities.
