I’m from a small town in southern Alberta! I was recently married and my husband and I are planning to move to Brandon at the end of August. I recently completed a course in marriage and family relations and learned so much about the healthy development of kids. I love all things self improvement, psychology, communication, mindfulness, meditation and especially music! I play piano and guitar and love to sing. I love to implement kind and clear communication with kids, validating their feelings and worries, but also helping them learn boundaries and how to be independent, obedient and kind. I have always been fascinated with how impressionable kids are and how adults can have such a profound impact on their development. My goal is to be the kind of caretaker that fosters their learning and growth in developing valuable attributes such as resilience, kindness, empathy and more. In addition to mental and emotional developmental health I also love all things physical health! Mindful eating, meal prepping and have been very important parts of my life.

I have 4 younger siblings and growing up was the main helper with cleaning the house, making meals, changing diapers, putting the kids to bed, playing with them etc. Other than just my own at home experience I’ve had multiple babysitting opportunities throughout the years that have gone well! I’ve been a nanny for 4 months and also looked after a special needs boy on and off for a year or so. I worked as a housekeeper for my mom’s business for a couple of years as well. I love taking care of and nurturing kiddos and keeping the house in order :)
