Hello! My name is Kaelyn, and I am a passionate, outgoing, and friendly high school senior from Cambridge. I am currently seeking a full-time nanny position. Ever since I can remember, I have always enjoyed looking after children. I prioritize forming strong bonds with the children I care for because I understand the significant impact a caregiver can have on a child's growth and wellness.
Apart from establishing safety and adhering to rules, my main goal is to create an atmosphere where children feel valued, respected, and secure. Although I am new to the field and have no work experience, I am excited and confident about taking on the roles of a nanny, tutor, and housekeeper. I offer my services on weekdays from Monday to Friday during the morning and midday hours. Given my school schedule, I am looking forward to starting on the 3rd of June, 2024.
I am naturally drawn to unique interests and always eager to learn new things. My favorite pastimes include sports, art, outdoor activities, playing music, reading, writing, and spending time with my family.
I am comfortable working with up to three children at once and have experience with children aged 3-5 years, 6-9 years, and over 10 years. As part of my duties, I am ready to assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, bathing and dressing children, helping with homework, adhering to dietary rules, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, walking dogs or taking care of other pets, event planning, and doing children's laundry. In addition, I also have the ability to work with children who have disabilities.
Thank you for considering me for the role. I hope to deliver my best effort to meet your childcare needs. Please feel free to reach out if you have any other questions! I will be more than happy to provide more detail. :)
Last summer I volunteered at an overnight camp called Silver Lake camp as a counsellor. During my time I was responsible for a group of 10 children during the day with my Co-counsellor, and individually supervised the girls in my cabin every other night (ensured all girls brushed their teeth etc. and put them to bed with a story). My daily responsibilities consisted of planning and engaging in activities for the kids, assisting them during meals, and ensuring their safety at all times. I have also volunteered for vacation bible school as a main leader working with kids ages 3-10 and additionally I actively give my time to help events for children locally (last years Mayfair for Central Public School, Youth basketball tournaments as a scorekeeper). I began taking care of kids when I turned 11 after getting my certification. Since then I have watched over children in my family and children of family friends. I since have not renewed my certificate due to getting a part time job in customer service over two years ago (still currently work). However, if any certifications are a necessity I am able to complete courses before summer.
