I would describe myself as a caring, trustworthy and friendly person. I grew up in ville saint Laurent in a large family and started babysitting my siblings at a young age. I truly love working with young kids, and I approach each child as an individual who I get to help grow and teach. I have experience preparing meals for children with dietary restrictions, and I am certified in CPR and basic first aid. When I'm not in school or babysitting, I enjoy running, climbing and skiing ( in the winter ;) ). I'd love the opportunity to get to know your family. I have my child care level 1 certification and worked full time in a french pre school in Canmore for a year. I also work as a canoe camp animator with large group of children for 3 summer. I'm a dynamic person and I love spending time with children from all age. I have my CPR, first aid certification and I am a BC registered emergency medical responder. I worked as a housekeeper and laundry attendant for a year in ski lodge. My native language is French but I'm comfortable in English.

I have been in the childcare industry full time since 2016. Prior to that I have worked in an assortment of jobs from full time grade 8 school teacher to pottery studio assistant, first aid instructor to outdoor activity and bus tour guide. I have always enjoyed working with children and watching them grow and develop into fantastic little humans. I babysat all through junior high and high school and worked at summer camps for elementary school aged children throughout University. I love the outdoors, and learning through exploring the world around. Music and movement are important to me, I love the expression and freedom that comes with moving my body to a good (or silly) song, be it choreographed or spur of the moment. I am a pretty down to earth person with an array of life experiences and education to draw on. Babysitting for various families through junior high and high school. Summer camp worker for after school care Summer camp for two summers at university. Raft guide and general staff member relief for two summers with age 8-12 year olds. Substitute teacher in almost all local schools from pre kindergarten to grade 12 for 6 years. Grade 8 generalist classroom teacher for 1 year Daycare worker (childcare supervisor) working with 4-5. 5 year old classroom for eight months, 2. 5-3 year old classroom for 13 months, 1. 5-2 year old classroom for 2 months.

Available every Saturday afternoon/evening in Canmore! I am a 33 years old from Quebec with extensive experience with kids. I did a lot of babysitting from the age of 11 to 21. More personally, I'm a dynamic girl who loves being outdoors and doing lots of sport (running, cycling, swimming, hiking). I also like very simple activities like reading a good book, doing needlepoint or a puzzle. I have a driver's license but no car. I can take the children to their after-school activities. Last year I was an au pair with a wonderful family in Victoria. For a year I looked after two children (aged 5 and 10). I have also families, including 1-year-olds. I like to play with the children, do puzzles, teach them a little French (I'm French), go cycling, go for walks!
