My name is Amanda and I am very passionate about teaching and caring for children. I recently ended my past job, in which I worked at local daycare. I was working there as a childcare assistant and as a support worker for a year old child who has Autism. I have over 17 years experience in caring for and teaching children and adults of all ages, and different abilities. I specialize in teaching and caring for children under the age of five. However I am very experienced with working with children of all ages. I’ve taught literacy, English, creative writing, literature, art and crafts and much more, in both a school setting/daycare and non school settings. I’m a 4th year University student, however I’m currently taking a break from my education. I’m majoring in English Literature and Psychology at the University of British Columbia. Eventually when I decide to return to school, I will be finishing my bachelor degrees online, thus I can continue to work while in school. My future plan in life is to become an English school teacher. Overall I’m very passionate about childcare and education. I enjoy spending time with the children and helping them to learn and grow/develop everyday. Also I am double vaccinated for COVID-19 and I will be getting my third vaccine soon. As well I have had all of the standard childhood vaccines. I also get a flu shot every year. Overall I am an educated, experienced, trustworthy, responsible, reliable, mature, health conscious, positive/happy, energetic, fun, patient, kind, caring, honest, genuine, respectful person and nanny. I work very hard to build and maintain good relationships with both the parents and their children. I have really good communication skills and I always keep things professional. I’m currently offering childcare from my home. I work very hard to always maintain a very welcoming, comfortable, clean, safe, healthy and happy environment/home. I have a child friendly and child safe large two bedroom apartment that’s located in a safe neighbourhood. There’s a private park and lots of space to for the children to safely play outside. I always take extra time to learn your parenting style, so that way the children are always receiving very consistent care both at home and while in my care. Currently my schedule is wide open and I can start right away if needed. Also I am very flexible and a easy going person, so if you ever needed to drop off the children earlier or pick them up later than scheduled that is perfectly fine with me. I’m also happy to do some extra occasional extra nannying on other days if needed/wanted. I currently have a couple clients that I work as a nanny for occasionally. However any scheduled work part-time/full-time work would always be my main priority. Please feel free to email and I’ll be happy to answer any questions that you may have. I’m looking forward to learning more about your family and discussing the job in more detail soon. I hope that you and your family have a wonderful day.
