Hi my name is Ashley. I am currently moving to Dawson creek BC from Edmonton Alberta. I was born in provost Alberta and spent 4 years in the general area until our family moved to Peace River Alberta. Peace River is where our family planted roots and became very involved in the community. I attended school like all the other kids, I grew up with 2 dogs, 2 cats and 2 siblings. Our house was always the place where all the kids wanted to be. When I got to grade 7 being the child of 2 former athletes I was active in all school sports from basketball, volleyball, badminton, track and field, and cross country. This continued up until I graduated. My parents still reside in Peace River and are still active in the community in sports and youth. After graduating I took some time off to pursue modelling and I have travelled across Canada, North America and over seas. After that I went to attend school and have a diploma in holistic nutrition. As I got deeper into nutrition I realized I wanted to specialize in pre/post natal and nutrition, because working with kids is where my true passion is. During my schooling I also worked at Zara and worked up to a cash manager and became Zara’s change maker as well. It was sad to leave the environment but life has lead me to Dawson creek.

My love of babies started when I was a young child. My mom had early childhood development and ran a day home and I would always be the first to help with the babies. As I got older I would ask my mom to please ask her friends to go on dates with their significant other so we could watch their children. I could not wait until I was able to babysit on my own. Once I was able I took my babysitting course and first aid when I was 12 years old. I was frequently busy all the way until I left Peace river Alberta when I was 19. I can supply plenty of references from over the years. I would have loved to make that my full time job at the time, but I started modelling at age 9 and became international at 14 so I had to have a fairly open schedule. When I wasn’t travelling I also worked at the gym as the front desk clerk but more importantly worked as a childcare provider in the mornings. I worked there Monday- Friday in the mornings watching kids newborn- 7 years old. There would be about 5-15 kids in the childcare room a day. Unfortunately I had to give all those childcare jobs up when I graduated high school and decided to take a year off to model internationally. Once I finished that I decided to go to school and I took holistic nutrition which I now have a diploma in. Because my passion for babies was so strong I decided that I wanted to take another year of nutrition to specialize in pre/post natal and baby nutrition which I will be finishing up this year. I still continue to this day to provide childcare for some of the moms that moved close to the Edmonton area, where I was attending school. Now life path is leading me to Dawson creek BC, and I’m hoping to find employment that allows me to practice my nutrition and also my passion for children.
