My name is Kara . I am twenty-one years old and am currently in my third year at the University of Victoria, completing my BA, and majoring in psychology. I am from White Rock BC but moved to Victoria for my education. I grew up in a home with my mother, father and older sister, and experienced a very happy and easy childhood. In high school, I worked and played many sports, primarily soccer and volleyball, and enjoyed those years with my friends and family. I am currently a student, on track to graduate next year, while working as a server at a family-run diner. I also spent time recently working at a senior home, as I hope to work in that field after graduation, seeking a job in caretaking and health assistance. My hobbies include reading, writing, and all forms of art, and I am also currently learning to play the guitar. I am a very sociable and easygoing person and thrive in positions that involve customer service or caretaking, whether that be with seniors or children. I pride myself on being a responsible and hardworking individual in both school and my job, supporting myself through my years since moving from home.
I began babysitting at fourteen and have had many jobs on and off throughout that time. I have experience with up to three children and have babysat both boys and girls, of all different ages, learning to successfully meet a wide range of needs and requirements. I have experience keeping the house clean while making meals, bathing, dressing, and putting the kids to bed. I love the outdoors and have, and currently am able to, walk or drive to other locations if needed. I have met many kids, with many different hobbies, and will happily participate in any activities that they enjoy. I truly love spending time with children, and getting to know their interests and hobbies, and will always be attentive and supportive. My primary jobs were with a family with two daughters and a family with three sons back in my hometown while I was in high school.
