I am a qualified childcare practitioner from the UK, and now live in Fernie. I have spent the last 10 years traveling and trying to see as much of the world as possible before finding Fernie and deciding to settle and call it home. I've been able to work with children in a variety of settings intermittently around my travels, including volunteering in orphanages, nannying, overnight care and in daycare settings. I have experience with children of all ages but especially 0-3 years, and am very confident especially caring for younger babies.

I qualified in the UK, so the course names are a little different. I have my GCSE in Childcare, which is a high school qualification. I also have a Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education which was a 2 year collage course, and is the highest level you need in the UK to work with children in pre-management roles. I have done lots of training over the years in First Aid, CPR and Medication Administration, and have worked in, and completed training in both Special Needs and Elderly care setting.
