Dear Dear families, My name is Cindy, I'm 23 and I'm from Clermont-Ferrand, a small town in France. I've been an au pair in Canada, in Orangeville to be precise, since September 15, 2023. I look after a 6-year-old girl, a 3-year-old boy and two 5-month-old twin girls. I’m looking for a new family, and will be available for the 22 of February ! I'm a simple person, always positive, mature and responsible! I'm cheerful, I like to laugh, learn, share and discover. I marvel at everything. Of course, like many people, I have a temper, but it's always temperate! I have an older sister who is 8 years older than me and an older brother who is 16 years older than me. I also have two nieces, one 14 and one 10. I've looked after the 10-year-old since she was born, and consider her my daughter. I'm very close to my parents and my sister. I see them regularly. In my spare time I like to sing and play the piano, which are my two passions. I love music, so I listen to it all the time. I like shopping, meeting new people, seeing my friends and family, and discovering new things. My mother tongue is French. I learned English and Spanish at school for several years. In English my level is very good, although I'm not yet bilingual, but that's one of the reasons I'm here! In Spanish my level is very basic. For me, the au pair experience has been a dream for years. It allows me to discover a new culture, become bilingual and travel, while working with the children as a big sister, discovering a new family, new habits, and getting out of my comfort zone.I've been an au pair for 4 months now and I can confirm that it's an experience I don't regret having had the courage to undertake.

I passed my BAFA diploma at the age of 17. After obtaining it, I worked in a leisure center for several school vacation periods with children aged from 2 and a half to 11. I've also done some baby sitting. I've also looked after my niece since she was a baby. I love looking after children and babies. I'm currently an au pair in a family of 4 kids (6, 3 and two babies of 5 months old) since September 2023.

My background is a bit unusual. I studied music at school from the age of 7 to 15 (accordion, piano, solfège, choir), after which I took a baccalauréat with a European option in English, which I passed with honors. I then went on to prepare for the « grandes écoles » competitive entrance exams, but stopped at the end of the first year. I didn't know what to do, so I worked in 2 restaurants for 1 year. Then I went back to school and did a 3-year sandwich course in business.
