I am currently a 1st-year student pursuing Early Childhood Education (E.C.E.) at Durham College, with a passion for nurturing and educating young minds. My journey into childcare stems from a background where organization was always emphasized, instilling in me a strong sense of attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining pristine environments. With two years of experience as a teacher, I have cultivated strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail, which I believe are essential qualities for maintaining a clean and tidy environment. As a preschool teacher at Kidsmandu Int’l Pre-School in Kathmandu, Nepal, from April 2021 to September 2023, my primary role was to provide exceptional care and instruction to children aged 2–7 years. This involved creating engaging lesson plans to foster their intellectual, social, and emotional development while ensuring their safety and well-being through strict adherence to health and safety protocols. Maintaining open communication with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress was paramount, as was adapting teaching methods to accommodate the diverse needs and learning styles of each child. Additionally, I actively participated in assessing and documenting students' progress through observations and evaluations, collaborating with colleagues to organize special events, field trips, and extracurricular activities. In managing classroom dynamics, I employed positive reinforcement techniques and implemented appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary to maintain a conducive learning environment. Notably, my dedication and skill were recognized when I achieved the position of second runner-up among 80 contestants at a prestigious storytelling competition held in 2023.
