Hello! I'm Arianna, a 20-year-old nanny with six years of childcare experience rooted in the vibrant Egyptian culture where strong familial bonds and caregiving have played a cornerstone of my upbringing. Being part of a large, close-knit family with three siblings and an expansive network of 22 younger cousins, I not only embraced the role of caregiver at an early age but learned to make everyday moments magical and filled with adventures.
Whether making up games and imaginary quests to entertain children or teaching them how to catch frogs during vacations at my grandma's cottage in Quebec, I never shy away from creating fun and exciting environments for kids to thrive and explore. And when it comes to offering comfort, my passion for reading and crocheting allows me to foster creativity and imagination in young minds while providing handmade goodies they can cherish.
Besides imagination and joy, I also bring experience in healthcare, frequently assisting my dad and grandmother, both pediatricians, in medical missions. Keeping kids engaged while their parents waited for care taught me invaluable lessons about patience and compassion.
I can provide a wide range of services, including cooking, light housekeeping, helping children with homework, adhering to special dietary rules, and organizing fun events. With capabilities to care for newborns up to children over ten years old and comfortable working with children with disabilities, I can meet diverse care needs. I am also first aid, CPR and nanny trained, and hold a Bachelor's degree.
I am currently living in Peterborough and available for flexible schedules throughout the week, be it mornings, afternoons, or evenings. I am looking for full-time, part-time, or live-out nanny, or nanny/housekeeper, babysitter, and mother's helper roles and can start at your earliest convenience. I am so much more than a nanny; I am a storyteller, an adventurer, and a co-captain, thrilled to be part of your child’s life, ensuring they thrive in a safe, relaxed, happy, and stimulating environment. Looking forward to being part of your family's journey!
In my experience with childcare, I've had the chance to babysit for several families with kids of all ages. One standout role I had was being a camp counselor, where I looked after a bunch of kids, up to 15 at a time. These kids all had different physical challenges. For example, I had one camper who was deaf. I learned some sign language to make sure she felt included in everything we did.
I've also worked with kids who have ADHD, autism, and other mental differences. I actually have ADHD myself, so I try to use what I've learned to help them out. That means giving them choices, letting them know when a change is coming up, and talking things out to find ways to make things easier for them.
And then there were the kids with behavioral issues. My favorite kid to work with had oppositional defiance disorder. He was super smart and caring, even though he could be a handful sometimes. But we always found a way to work things out, and he taught me a lot about seeing things from someone else's perspective.
