I have been married for 37 years, am the mother of five grown children (mostly home-schooled), a professional Classical music teacher and performer, and a Christian. I have lived in England, France, The Netherlands, Canada, and Australia, and speak fluent English, French and Dutch. We involved our children in everything from domestic skills (lots of baking!) to hiking and skiing, gardening, home renos of all kinds, and travel. I am a clean - as - you - go person but not a fanatic disinfecter, prefer natural approaches to health and nutrition, and believe in exercise and fresh air (without unnatural facial impediments to respiration). I believe in real play indoors and outdoors, reading books and making up stories, singing real songs, and avoiding virtual reality, TV and screens in general as much as possible. I have a Bachelor's Degree (Honours) in Music from Oxford University in England, and an ARCM Performance Diploma from the Royal College of Music, London, England. I home schooled our five children up to university entrance level, have taught music history and theory up to degree level, and piano and oboe performance for all levels from beginner to Diploma level. I have also taught Introduction to Music classes for young children up to teens.
