I'm Kyla. I grew up in a small town in Ontario. I moved to this beautiful island in the spring of 2017. I am a professionally trained dancer, and I am currently studying to become an herbalist. I work with and am being mentored by Kim at the Qualicum Beach Apothecary. I still dance for my own personal enjoyment, I love singing, walking in the forest, and swimming in the ocean, rivers, and lakes. I take on full and part-time nannying work for the fulfillment of helping families, and for the innate joy it can be to share time and space with children, our next generation.

My experience in childcare includes caring for 3 young boys and one fluffy bernese mountain dog in one household, ages 4, 5, and 10. I cooked for them, drove them to and from school, soccer and baseball games and practices, fun trips to the park, petting farms & playing soccer outside, bathing / showering, deep cleaning the house, and lots of dog walks.I have experience in staying overnight with them for as long as 5 days at a time.
