My name is Jillian and I am 24 years old. I have been living in Saint John, NB for approximately four years. I enjoy spending my Saturdays at Rockwood Park with my dog. I have always had a passion for Early Learning Education. I worked with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder for approximately two years, which gave me invaluable experience. I have two years experience working as a Behavior Interventionist at Viva Therapeutic Services. My main objective was for development in children with autism. I was responsible for working on the goals set by the clinical supervisor and reporting progression/regression within clients. Previously, I worked in an early learning center as a Educator. It allowed me to further my practical experience in the Early Childhood Education field. It also allowed me to gain certifications such as the Intro to Early Childhood and Education Certificate.

I am the mother of 3 fantastic children--and I will always consider that to be the most important job ever. I have been a registered nurse now for almost 28 yrs. I do work full time in a hospice and work 12 hrs shifts both days and nights. I am looking for casual/part time work to supplement my current income so that I can put myself in a position to buy a house in 1-2 yrs. I am punctual, professional, respectful and hard working. I have worked with children in my nursing career as well as the elderly. I love babies so working for families with newborns as a mother's helper for me would be a fun job to have in addition to my fulltime job. I am registered with the College of Nurses as well as the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. My rates for work will depend on the employment I get. I am open to private nursing, child care, housekeeping, companion work, cooking, mother's helper jobs, housesitting as well as checking in on/providing care to elderly couples/individuals when their family are on vacation to give them peace of mind. As a teenager I was a well sought out babysitter. I have taken care of children from newborn and up. My own children ar29, 26 and 19 now. As a nurse I have worked with children who are medically fragile technology dependant. I have worked with children who suffer from seizure disorders, have trachs, feeding tubes, cerebral palsy, global mental delay, and autism. I also did private child care for a family when my daughter was 3 because that casual work allowed me to take my daughter with me, while supplementing my nursing income. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: A family that can use my services would have to be flexible and have me work hrs outside of my other job commitment--I work a mastered schedule and know my schedule in advance. I am not available 24/7, 7 days per week--but would easily have availability of 20-25 hrs one week and 8-16 hrs the second week, which is a range of 28-41 hrs every two weeks. Graduated from a three yr nursing diploma program at Georgian College in Orillia (1987). Since graduating from college I have taken a pediatric course through Conestoga College and have taken advanced palliative care courses (Palliative care levels 1 and 2, and CAPCE--Comprehensive advanced Palliative Care Education) In 2011 I became certified through the Canadian Nurse Association as a Certified Palliative Care Nurse, (CHPCN).
