Some of my interests include crafting, drawing and reading. I am also very passionate about looking after kids. I love being able to help children grow and learn. Another thing about me is that I have autism but I find my autism more of a super power then a weakness. Because of my autism I feel I am more understanding of what children on the spectrum and with other disabilities are going through and I love to find creative ways to help. I have completed my Educational Assistant Certificate and have my Early Childhood Education Level 1.

I babysat for many years as a high school student and after graduating from High School, I completed my Educational Assistant Certificate at Red Deer College and had that certificate transferred to a Level 1 Early Childhood Educator. During my college year, I completed two practicums at Westpark Elementary School, in Grades 2 and 4. I currently work as a Relief Child Development Assistant at BrightPath Daycare and have been in the role since August, 2021. I work with all ages of children at the daycare and have proven myself to be a reliable employee, taking most shifts with very little notice. During my college course, I learned about the many techniques of teaching children. At Brightpath we teach the children using a blend of play-based (Frog Street) and child-led (Emergent) learning approaches. My love and caring is obvious to anyone who sees me work with children and I hope to continue in the childcare profession for my lifetime.
