Hello! I am Leila, the second oldest out of a family of five children. During my lifetime, I have had a lot of experiencing for caring for my siblings, as well as younger cousins. Caring for children did not stop at my immediate family but extended into my school life as well. During elementary school, I would ride the bus daily to school and back, more than often, I would have the bus driver asking me to come to the front to comfort a child who was just starting school. Despite not knowing the child, or the child not knowing me. I became one of those comforting faces to the children who would come to me for support as they transitioned from home life to school. A lot of my own hobbies can easily translate to activities easily done with children. I enjoy arts and crafts and considered a career with art at one point in my life. I love the outdoors and going for walks, as well as participating in sports. I love to self educate myself on topics I am not well versed it like the ocean, how our ecosystem works, various niche topics like floating oil barrages.

My proficiency in patient assessment and identification of changes in condition perfectly translates to my ability to understand and cater to the needs of children effectively. By utilising critical thinking skills during patient assessments, I am adept at recognizing and addressing discrepancies promptly, ensuring the health and safety of the children under my care.
