Hello, I'm Rae, a 54-year-old mother to three grown children, with the youngest now being 19 and starting her journey at Dalhousie University. Coming from a large family where I am the oldest of 30 grandchildren, my house feels quite empty without the bustling noise of children. I'm looking to replace that noise with laughter, joy and children's chatter by working as a nanny. I have retired from the Canadian forces Navy and most recently worked as a senior live-in palliative care provider for the past five years in Ontario and Halifax. Presently, I reside in Riverhead Harbour Grace and find myself open and flexible to both full-time and part-time nanny positions. Over the years, my working experience has not just been limited to palliative care but has extensively stretched into all areas of home management. I am adept at cooking, light housekeeping, grocery shopping, preparation of kids' meals, ironing children's clothes, and assisting with homework. I adhere to all dietary requirements, can also walk dogs or perform pet care, family laundry, and oversee other household staff if need be. And some days, when the tasks become a little more, I have no problem handling house-wide cleaning and event planning. My availability stretches across all days of the week and at various times including but not limited to mornings, evenings, nights, and the middle of the day. Immediate commencement isn't an issue. I am ready to start right away if needed. In addition to my broad experience, I've got a rich educational background including First Aid Training, CPR Training, College, High School, and Certified Elderly Care Training. I am very comfortable working with children of all age groups from newborns to those over 10 years of age. Disabilities pose no difficulty for me, on the contrary, it would be my joy to help these children navigate their extraordinary world.
