Working in childcare has been the most rewarding privilege of my life. It has granted me opportunities to positively impact the early formative years of the children under my supervision while fostering a deep respect for the parents and guardians who entrust them to my care. With three years of experience in childcare, a passion for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children, and additional education in early childhood development, I am confident that I am an excellent candidate for the position of Nanny. My three years working as a Child Care Provider provided me with hands-on opportunities to care for and interact with children by planning activities, teaching the children how to play chess, planning field trips and playing sports such as soccer, volleyball, and basketball with the kids]. I also have 2 years of experience working directly with clients by providing in-home childcare services. My 20 hour Responsible Adult Course certification also afforded me with a deeper understanding of the cognitive, emotional, and social development of children. I enjoy keeping my skill sets current by attending informative workshops and training. I recently attended a training course through the Westcoast Child Care Resource Center that enhanced my thought process around creating safe, fun, and educational activities for children during challenging weather conditions. Advancing my professional development enables me to create engaging, age‑appropriate activities that foster children’s growth and development. I am a superb communicator and a committed team player who is extremely passionate about working with children. My outgoing personality contributes to my exemplary relationship-building skills which helps me cultivate a harmonious working environment. I am dedicated to creating a positive and nurturing atmosphere where children can thrive, learn, and develop to their full potential. I am confident in my capability to provide high-quality care and education to the children under my care and would be thrilled for the opportunity to utilize and advance my skill set to take care of your child/children.

I worked for ELS English Centers during their winter program where international kids would come to learn English, and I worked as a Camp Leader for the kids with the ages of 6 to 12 and that is where I had my first experience in Canada working with kids. After my winter job I started working at the day care that I currently work named Thrive Kids Club where I was working with kinder gardens and grade one. For my currently job at Thrive, I had to complete the Responsible Adult course, the CPR certification and a background check.

March 31, 2023 Re: Ana Ximenes – Letter of Reference On behalf of the Hudson Child Care Society, I am pleased to stand as a reference for Ana Ximenes. Ana held the position as Group Leader with us, and primarily worked with a group of 24 children in grades 2-3 alongside another Group Leader. She started her position on November 3rd 2020, and her last day at work was July 11th 2022, during which time I was her direct supervisor. As Group Leader Ana was responsible for supervising children, ensuring a safe and healthy environment, preparing age- and developmentally appropriate activities, and guiding children through socially and emotionally challenging situations. During her time with us Ana demonstrated a playfulness that children enjoyed, and her interest in art provided a catalyst for interesting art activities. Ana developed many positive relationships with both children and peers, demonstrated good time management skills, and improved on her ability in addressing challenging behaviours. Sincerely, Thomas O Program Manager

22. March 2023 Re: Reference for Ana Ximenes To Whom It May Concern: We were please to have Ana as part of our team from September 2020 until June 2021. We could not help but notice so many great characteristics and personal traits such as: • Communication: Ana consistently communicated professionally with different stake holders such as parents, teachers, and me, her manager. • Team player: Her positive attitude and smile contributed to the cohesion and atmosphere in the team. • Programming: Ana engaged in thoughtful planning and executing of our program. • Love for children: Ana showed an evident love for the kids in her group. She was well liked by the children. • Leadership: While maintaining a warm atmosphere Ana was able to direct and engage a lively group of children. I highly recommend Ana for any work related to children. She would be welcome back in our program any time. Sincerely, Markus A Owner/Manager Thrive Kids Club
