My name is Alexa, a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Education graduate from Fanshawe College in London, Ontario. I have 3 years of experience in child care, including work as a supply teacher and an intern at a Montessori kindergarten. Over the years, I've developed a profound love and understanding for this profession. My experience ranges from working with children from 1 to 9 years old, and with different abilities.
In addition to my child education courses and Bachelor's Degree, I'm also certified in CPR, First Aid, handling infants/toddlers, and special needs education. This well-rounded training helps me to cater to a variety of children's needs in a home daycare or ECE setting.
Ready to start immediately, I am seeking a part-time, live-out role, where I can utilize my skills to nurture and tend to your children's needs. I am mostly available on weekends throughout the day and evenings on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
My responsibilities can include running errands, grocery shopping, transporting children, doing children's and family's laundry, bathing and dressing children, and adhering to special dietary rules. I'm also amenable to pet care and supervising other household staff.
I have a driver's license, a vehicle for job use, am a non-smoker, and a proficient swimmer. Having worked with children up to 15 years old in volunteer settings, I know that every child is unique and deserves care tailored to their specific needs.
Being of Chinese origin, I am fluent in English and Mandarin and feel that this bilingual advantage will help in the overall development of your child.
Please note that I'm looking to work in the location of my current residence, Victoria and I am unable to relocate. I am more than willing to travel for the job, if necessary.
I have over three years of experience in daycare.
I have worked with children aged 16 months to 5 years old. I am skilled in diaper changing and leading activities for children. Currently, I work in a kindergarten where the children are aged 3 to 5 years old, and there are 25 children in my class.
