I am currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated professional experienced in senior and health care services, specifically for a 22-year-old with Autism who is non-verbal. The ideal candidate should have a background dealing with individuals with speech impairments, understanding their unique needs and ways of communication. As a full-time or part-time live-in caregiver, you will play a critical role in ensuring comfortable living and a rich quality of life for my family member, beginning from 1st April 2024. The role requires you to assist during mornings, midday and evenings from Monday through Friday, totaling about 20 to 30 hours per week. Your tasks will include housekeeping, keeping the bathroom clean and tidy, assisting with bathing, dressing and grooming, and providing toileting assistance. Just as important as these tasks is a keen understanding and empathy towards the resident's needs. Your ability to maintain a calm and comforting demeanor at all times will create a nurturing environment, essential for the well-being of a person with special needs. Though a driver's license is not a necessity, flexibility is - your presence and assistance will be required at different times throughout the week, making this role ideal for someone adaptive and devoted.
