Permanent Job Title: Live-in Caregiver Full-time caregiver is required to take care of an elderly multiple sclerosis man Working hours: 100 hours every 15 days Wage: $ per hour Location: Medicine Hat, AB Work Setting: The employer's house, Room provided Start date: Post date: Dec 01, 2023 Job duties: - Provide care and companionship - Provide personal care - Assist in feeding and bathing - Medication management - serve meals - Perform housekeeping - Assume full responsibility for household in absence of householder - Assist in regular exercise - Previous elderly care experience or professional training as caregiver is an asset. - Ability to communicate in English (speaking, writing and reading) 1-2 years’ experience working with seniors or in the healthcare field is preferred Great problem solving and decision making skills Able to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to think outside the box Team player with a calm, positive attitude Supervises household maintenance services such as plumbers and gardeners Completes records accurately and carries out assignments as requested Education Completion of high school . Credentials (certificates, licence, memberships, courses, etc.) Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate; First Aid Certificate . Experience 7 months to less than 1 year .
