I am looking for an in-home caregiver provider to help support a 69-year-old elderly man and fulfill housekeeping duties. Location: Ottawa, Ontario K1Z 7H8 Duties: • Go for walks to run errands and help with grocery shopping • Prepare and serve meals • Accompany to doctor appointments, when needed • Clean, organize and maintain the house as needed and as instructed. Tasks include preparing meals, housekeeping. • Create and ensure a safe environment at the residence. • Light cooking and other related tasks, including help with managing medications Required Education/Experience: Have completed a secondary school diploma OR Have successfully completed, in this field of employment, full-time vocational training of at least 6 months in a vocational school OR Have 1 year of continuous paid experience as a caregiver Live-in Option available: Option for the Caregiver Provider to live-in at the residence where care is required at no cost. Schedule for caregiver to be: • 8am-4pm Monday-Friday • 8am-6pm Saturday Every work day includes a one hour meal break (Two breaks of 30 minutes each) Skills/ Qualifications: • Be reliable and punctual • Take initiative • Show good judgment • Have good intuition • Have excellent organizational skills Language Requirement: Knowledge of English (oral) Employment conditions, salary and hours: 2-year temporary position with possibility of extension.
