I am a University graduate who migrated to Canada three years ago. Attended Norquest college and graduated with a certificate in Health Care Aide. I have been working as a health care aide ever since. I am a hardworking, respectful and caring individual. I enjoy working with the elderly and find that I am able to apply specific skills and personality traits when working with them. These include patience, confidentiality, kindness, understanding and empathy. Even though the field was completely new to me when I started, each client or experience has given me the confidence to approach each situation with the awareness that everyone and their situation is unique and should be treated as such. I am a quick learner and usually only have too be shown a task once. I use my iniative well but will not over step any boundaries. It is my intention to continue in this field and to further my studies in the field of nursing or social work, thereby building on the foundations that has been laid by so many before me. I usually descibe my self as "a combination person" :) This means that while I can be out going and vivacious, I respect other people's feeling and need for space. I enjoy other people's company but cherish my alone time too. I love to read and watch movies. I enjoy the outdoors and being a "country girl" do not mind getting a little dirt on.
