Hi Sir/Madame. I am looking for employer in Canada as Live-in Caregiver.
GREETINGS.
It's a privilege to introduce myself to you and my greatest achievements. I am Corrie G. youngest among the four children of OSCAR and LEONIDA. I’m 32 yrs old and continue struggling for my career growth and development. I am very hard working and dedicated person in everything I do. I am highly energetic and fun to be with. My family raised me well together with my siblings through our family merchandise business. We all have our own journeys and at my early age I lost my dad when I was 12. He undergo dialysis for more than 2 yrs. and most of the time we were at the hospital and we take care of him at home too. At that time we are all going to school and universities. We also experienced tragedy due to calamity crisis in our place during Mt. Pinatubo eruption. My wonderful mom and amazing sisters stay strong and intact in spite despite of what we had.
I took my primary and secondary years at ST. SCHOLASTICA'S ACADEMY. I attended in this school from 1990 -2003. This school is my second home and family. I met friends that til now we still keep in touch despite the distances we have. I learned a lot from this school and we were strictly disciplined for it is run by benedictine sisters. By college I studied at ANGELES UNIVERSITY FOUNDATION from 2003 up to 2007 and finished my course of Nursing. All the unforgettable memories and experiences will forever kept in my heart and will serve as my guide as I go along to my journey of life. And I am very thankful and proud for those because of who and what I am today.
After I graduated from college year 2007 with a bachelor degree in Nursing I volunteered to one of our public hospitals in our place which is BULAON DISTRICT HOSPITAL from JUne 2007 up to November 2007. While waiting for the board exam results I already practice my profession for about 5 months. I build rapport and render the best care for my patients. I worked like one of the nursing staffs from that hospital and people were so dearly to let me have that opportunity and experienced. But unfortunately I didn't passed the local boards but that didn't stop me to continue my life. Since that time nurses has a lot of supply and most of the passers couldn't find job either I decided to work on other field because I really want to help my family and think about my future. I worked on 2 call centers company CYBER CITY TELESERVICES December 2007 up to November 2008. TELETECH December 2008 up to December 2009. I also had a part time job at night as a call center instructor at GOLDEN GATES ACADEMY from June 2009 up to December 2009. I also did Korean teaching home based at Angeles City from December 2009 up to March 2010.
And then I tried my luck outside the country because I am looking forward to all possibilities that I will have a great chance to help more in regards to my familys financial needs and reach my dreams. By June 2010 I arrived here at Israel to work as a caregiver and up to present I am currently working. I was reffered by my cousin and I didn't have second thoughts to grab the opportunity. My first employer was a man name GAY CHENIA with age of 36 and had a vehicle accident. He is paralyzed and not on his state of mind too. I performed standard duties such as cleaning, making beds, cooking, doing dishes, laundry, ironing as required, cleaning kitchen and bathroom and particularly maintaining hygiene which includes regular trash removal. Since everyday he needed a walk we go to beach side every morning and every afternoon we go to his different physical therapy and I drove for him as well. After 3 months I left the job but I tender my resignation very well. He wanted to marry me but I disagree I explained I came only here for work. Afterwards he kept on shouting and he do not cooperate anymore. After 3weeks I find a job with an elderly woman her age is 89 and she was diagnosed with dementia. I provide all comprehensive in-home care that enriches her life. I did cooking, prepared her meals and assisted with activities in her daily living. I also provide companionship and demonstarted unwavering patience and understanding. We had a good relationship together with her family. I found a second family through them. At the age of 94 sadly she passed away. Before she died we were admitted at the hospital for less than a week because she fainted( and it happens every 2yrs) complications occur such infection in her blood and hight blood glucose til the doctor tell to the family its hopeless and can't help her anymore. The family decides to bring her home and I took care of her til her last breath. She died at home.
We gather all at the funeral and took her to her tomb. I had to move on but still decided not to go home in my country and continue my work here. My current employer is still part of the family of the latter. She is the mother of the wife of the son of my previous employer. They asked me if I can work for their mother with the same condition. She is MAGDA ANGEL and her age is 89 with alzheimers and its the first stage. The most difficult stage because she is still in denial of her condition. She thought she can still do all of the things she used to do. She is sometimes at depression mode and I am trying all I can do to divert this feeling and thoughts she has. She walks very slowly because before she was alone at home and she fell thats why her children decided to hire caregiver for her and most of the time she is confused and forgets a lot of things.
Being a caregiver is not easy but my interest and love for the elderly is truly intrinsic and I genuinely enjoy working with older adults. I worked with my heart and I am very passionate about my job. Sometimes it hurts emotionally that you have to be away from your family to get a high paying job but because of their never ending love, care and support the pain just swept away. I always exclude negative vibes and thought of the brighter side. I am greatful too that God gave me enough strength and courage to go on with my everyday life.
As I continue my journey here, I knew there is a wide opportunity that soon to open for me. I have heard a lot from Canada before and ask some information and ideas how is it going in there. It's also one of my dream place I foresee in my future. And if its hoped and will be given that oportunity to work there, I assure you my dedication and commitment to work as well as my profession. I do believe that working there will contribute me a lot in widening my knowledge and help me established my sense of responsibilities. Through my experience, education, work ethics, abilities and strong interpersonal skills I could be a great asset in continuing competitive performance of your firm.
and if you want to talk or see me you can add me or email me
I live my life to the fullest, for my loving family, for my dear friends, for myself and for my future. This is the story of my life. Have a great day ahead.
Please find attached copy of my resume for more information about me.
Thank you for the time and space. I hope that this application merits your kind consideration.
Sincerely Yours,
Corrie G.
