I am a healthy, physically fit individual that enjoys working in the Health field. My strong area has been the Elderly. I have experience with MS; Alzheimer's; Dementia; Para/Quad -Plegics; Downes-Syndrome; Parkinson's; etc in a controlled setting. In fact I started my Nursing career with then called Edmonton Homecare Services in 1986; upgrading education to nursing program; worked as a PCA with the Good Samaritan Auxillary Hospital. I left to educate myself to LPN status graduating in 1995. I worked several years casual/part-time status 12hr and 16hr shifts as full-time jobs were scarce in cut-back years. Thus my traveling to B. C. then onto NT whereby I found the Indeterminate job I desired at that time. I spent 19 years in the North working 12-hr shifts; early retired to move to Edmonton to be closer to my family and to not work 12-hr shifts anymore. I am the proud Mom of 3 grown sons; each with families of their own-- residing around Edmonton area. I have 5 wonderful grandchildren at very exciting ages--ranging from 6mos to 12 years old.. My moving to Edmonton as recently as October 2016, I haven't had a chance to find a volunteer specialty yet. My favourite hobbies are walking with my Yorkie-Bichon dawgie ANGEL; running; x-country skiing; I will no doubt find a curling group soon followed by a golf group in the summer. I feel I relate and connect well with elderly clients; I establish a repoire readily. I feel that I still have a lot of compassion, empathy, desire to help, stamina to work 30-40 hours a week as a licensed LPN #23679. I prefer day/evening work with occasional w/e.

I started my nursing career in Homecare; over the course of my career I have held many Homecare casual/part-time/contract positions; In recent years my focus was mainly Elder care in a small facility in the North and It encompassed all of LPN skills following the AB CPLPN policies & Procedures; Code of Conduct; I am a healthy physically strong individual and want to continue to give DAYS/EVENING/ occasional WEEKENDS client care to the best of my ability. I want only casual/ part-time/ contract work at this time. I am NOT interested in NIGHTS or LIVE-IN. I recently moved from the North to Edmonton AB to be closer to my Family; I have my LPN license#23679; CPR/BLSP-HCA/ AED; ADV FOOT CARE; WHIMIS; CRIMINAL check; and can supply numerous infer on conferences, courses that I have completed.
