I am Canadian born, past my fifties, and have a lot of experience caring for the elderly and children. I have worked for may different types of companies, I have my grade twelve diploma and have attended the first year of a Management Studies Program. English is my first language. I am a metis person. I am a responsible, honest, non-smoker, and am a religious person. ( I believe in God; but I do not preach. )
I worked for the Action Group in Lacombe, Alberta. They are a group who provides care for young and elderly people with or without disabilities. I had the privilege of meeting and caring for three people. One person had Alzheimer's and the other two were in their declining years. I helped dress and undress the person with Alzheimer's. I adhered to any special diets and prepared snacks or meals for them. I did some light housekeeping and recorded the days events. I have the experience of helping with the full-time care, of an elderly parent, with parkinson's disease.
