Hello, Thank you for considering my resume. I have worked in a senior environment for 7 years. I had my own hair salon in two different senior homes in BC. I sold my business to move back to Calgary to be near my family. Recently I worked in a private home caring for a lovely lady with dementia for 6 years. She was put into a senior home and I helped her in the transition. I stayed 5 months with her in there till she was secure. I so enjoy working with these older ones, I loved hearing their stories. I like how they come alive with the simple pat on the hand or a warm smile and hello. Just being a good listener has filled me with joy as you see their eyes get brighter as they tell their stories. I enjoy working with them and being around them and would like to continue work in this field. I am honest, reliable, patient, compassionate and kind. I interact with them well. I feel I have lots of love to give, and so much to learn from them. I love music, gardening, reading, cutting hair, sewing and dancing. Thank you for your time.
