Hello, my name is Ofelia. I'm a Filipina who loves cooking and housekeeping. With 32 years of experience in housekeeping, child care and elderly care, I have spent 12 years in Hong Kong and almost 20 years in Canada. I trained as a Nursing Aide for a year in Montreal at Nursing Aid- (Aid Nursing Montreal). Through my studies, I gained experience in basic bedside nursing techniques in both home-based and institutional settings. I studied the processes and problems associated with aging, as well as the chronic disorders frequently linked to it. I also learned essential communication techniques needed when caring for the elderly and honed my teamwork skills. My training included learning the principles of safely lifting patients (PDSB), administering emergency measures (CPR), and applying first aid.
