Dear Hiring manager, My name is Folakemi Biola . I'm 30 years old. I am Married and I am a mother to a 2 years old baby girl. I arrived Canada on the first of September 2024 and I was immediately introduced to a cleaning company called RAS Facility Services. I worked with RAS on contract for a short period and currently I work with Best cleaning pros as a housekeeping aide. I enjoy cleaning, I do this on a daily basis as a housewife and mother. And I hope to channel this passion that I have into a professional service to bring income to my family. When I arrived Canada in September of Last year, I arrived with an Open Work Permit and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics. I had worked in a very large company in a Supervisorial role in my country, and I was hoping to work in an even more advanced position in a developed nation such as Canada. However, I arrived with a one year old child and soon quickly realized that the developed nation is not as developed as I thought, as it had no provision for temporary childcare for new immigrants and mothers. Although I got an interesting career opportunity, this was quickly short lived as the dilemma of where to put my child while I worked was introduced. I was soon discouraged and I had to turn down the opportunity.I hope to channel my love for my child and children in general into working with and caring for families with children that need my services (Housekeeping or Nanny).
