I am currently seeking a full-time Housekeeper to assist in maintaining a large private residence in Caledon East. The individual in this role will be responsible for cleaning and maintaining the general appearance of private residences in Caledon. Reporting will be done directly to our House Manager. The tasks associated with this role will include: - Care of furnishings, finishes, and delicate surfaces including care of art, marble, and other surfaces (Training will be provided) - Frequent washing, ironing, steaming, and linen care, including washing delicate fabrics - Making beds and ironing sheets - Closet organization and maintaining care for personal effects - Frequent packing, unpacking, and transport of suitcases - Organizing and managing household inventories - Monitoring pantry and fridge and reporting of requirements - Management of trash and recycling - Sorting and preparing dry cleaning - Answering the doorbell and greeting guests and visitors - Occasional pet management (walking, feeding, and supervision) - Supervising vendors and contractors while House Manager is offsite - Assist with private and social events, as required - Handling general requests as needed Requirements: - Minimum of three (3) years of similar work experience - Proficiency in English and strong communication skills - Experience in hands-on household work and knowledge of all areas of property cleaning and organizing - Experience with museum-quality cleaning and care for delicate surfaces, fine art is considered an asset - Keen attention to detail, especially regarding dust and cleanliness - Occasionally flexible with working hours, according to employer’s needs - Initiative and confidence in own abilities - Ability to work independently - Exceptional organizational skills - Strong work ethic - Ability to multitask and work well under pressure - Professionalism, polish, discretion, and confidentiality are integral - Legal entitlement to work in Canada Additional information: - Full-time, Monday to Friday - hours may vary based on the needs of the property - Smoke-free environment - A dog lives in the residence - Training will be provided
