We are seeking a highly experienced, full-time professional to join our team as a
Housekeeper/Assistant/Dog Walker. This role involves managing two homes, walking our
beloved dog, and providing care for the dog when we are away. This is an adult householder as
kids are at University. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining daily housekeeping
and organizational tasks to ensure our homes are always in top-notch condition.
Responsibilities:
1. Housekeeping:
Perform daily housekeeping duties with exceptional attention to detail,
maintaining a spotless living environment.
Ensure meticulous cleanliness throughout the homes, adopting a hotel-style
perfectionist approach.
Handle laundry tasks efficiently, ensuring clean and organized living spaces.
2. Grocery Management and Meal Preparation:
Manage grocery shopping and assist with meal preparation, excluding cooking.
Maintain an organized inventory of household supplies and groceries.
3. Dog Walking and Care:
Take our 9 year old dog on daily hikes, providing them with exercise and
companionship.
Provide dog sitting services when we travel, ensuring the dog receives the
necessary care and attention (6-8 weeks per year).
4. Errands and Travel Preparation:
Coordinate dry cleaning drop-offs and collections.
Assist with pre-packing for trips, ensuring all necessary items are prepared.
Occasionally travel to Whistler to organize the house and prepare for guests.
5. Contractor Management:
Coordinate and schedule appointments with contractors for maintenance,
repairs, or renovations.
Meet, communicate and oversee contractors at the homes, ensuring they have
access and are aware of the tasks to be completed.
Work with office staff to maintain records of contractor interactions, invoices
and completed tasks.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in hotel/housekeeping, demonstrating a keen eye for detail and
cleanliness.
Familiarity with laundry procedures and maintaining organized living spaces.
Ability to handle grocery shopping and assist with meal preparation, excluding cooking.
Comfortable taking dogs on hikes/walks and ensuring their well-being.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate various tasks effectively.
Valid driver's license and a responsible driving record.
Availability to travel to Whistler occasionally.
Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
Ability to dog sit on weekends/holidays when needed, either in your home, our family
home in West Vancouver, or at the Whistler Property.
This position offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week, and the hourly rate will range
from $25+, depending on your experience and abilities. A valid driver's license is required, and a
