Hello; I am an energetic, optimistic, healthy, happy 44 year old mother of an 23 year old son named kalem who is my pride and joy and have raised into a healthy independent young man. My method of teaching children is by offering age appropriate options. I encourage learning through play. Guide children's behaviour in positive ways and respect children's ethnic, cultural and religious backgrounds. My approach to disciplining children is setting firm boundaries with mindful disciplining which involves the nonjudgmental, moment-to-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and immediate environment. I live a healthy lifestyle which includes eating healthy and training 3 days a week in the gym. I am very active. I enjoy meditating, yoga, dancing, reading and learning. I believe youthful fun and adult wisdom can play in the sandbox together.. I aim high in helping you raise your children into happy, healthy little people. I was born and raised in Vancouver B. C. However, my mother is from Guatemala Central America allowing me to visit and learn about my heritage from a very young age. My great grandparents are from Spain, Basque Country. My Grandmother on my fathers side is Irish so I have a few bloodlines running through me. I have also lived abroad in Spain for 5 years working abroad as a caregiver. I operated a home daycare from 2003 - 2008, licensed not required and licensed for four children. I had four spaces which were for ages 10 months to 4 years. Previously I lived abroad in Spain and was a caregiver for an elderly man and for young children. I have currently finished working for a family in North Vancouver due to family circumstances. I cared after two beautiful girls, a 1. 5 y old and 4. 5 year old at the time I started. I cared for them a year and a half.

While operating my daycare I attended child educating courses as part of my competence and still am.
