I am a Torontonian, moved three years ago from New York where I spent time working in backstage theatre (Broadway, Off-Broadway, & Non-profit). During that time I babysat and became great friends with a family in my building, and stepped in as their nanny. for a 6-year-old, 4-year-old, and 11 month/one-year old. I'd been babysitting little Leyla (11 months) since she was a couple weeks old, and spent a majority of the day with her strolling around Hoboken, New Jersey smiling at civilians. I would take Logan and Lucy (six and four) to Kindergarden and Daycare each day and then later pick them up, walk home pretending to be dinosaurs, then had something to eat before mom and dad got home. In Toronto in 2014 I nannied for two family friends with two one-and-a-half year old daughters. We would spend the day flower gazing, reading books, and contemplating the life of curious george. Pursuing formal education brought me back to my homeland Canada (originally from Alberta), where I am completing a degree with University of Toronto Mississauga. I am looking for part-time nannying or babysitting to balance with summer courses, which can continue into the Fall/Winter year. I travel back a forth between Toronto and Mississauga (in the process of putting away my commuter card and finally getting my drivers license. The day will be glorious. ). I am so happy to talk about the kids I worked with and connect you to their parents as references. I hope to hear from you.

Majority of the children I nannied and spent the most time with were two weeks to four years old. I love working with toddlers/young kids because I love reading (English Literature Specialist, but that doesn't mean I am going to reach for Virginia Woolf). I also love going outside on nature walks. If you have any early learning cards or anything like it, that would be super fun. I believe in a gentle approach with lots of laughs. I want to be a friend they can see on a regular basis. With my schedule if I could work with a family to have consistent weekly time slots that would be ideal.

Counselling Skills Certificate Courses at George Brown College. In process of an Undergraduate Degree at University of Toronto Mississauga.
