Hello to all. In June, I finished my last year in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at McGill University. Since I was a teenager, I have had extensive experience working with children. I have babysat for numerous families, worked as a youth leader, a summer camp supervisor, and as a summer nanny. As a youth leader, I traveled with, and supervised children, ages 8-17 years old. I ensured the children were safe at all times and provided reliable, and on time, pick up and drop off for the parents. As a sports camp supervisor, I ran the camps for children, aged 6-12. This included creating crafts, games, and activities to play. The kids participated in a variety of activities throughout the summer including swimming, skating, tennis, field trips, etc. With my Nursing program, I have worked in the Postpartum Unit as well as Paediatric inpatient medicine. I was responsible for care of the mothers, newborns, and children from 0 - 17 years old. This past summer I nannied for two children aged two and four. The focus was ensuring we got outside everyday. We would play at the park, collect items for scavenger hunts, and even went on 'field trips. ' I also provided lunch and light housekeeping for the family.

At the age of 12 I successfully completed the babysitter's course - a course which teaches all the proper ways to look after children including safety and first aid. I have finished my third year at McGill University School of Nursing. Eventually, I am hoping to get in to the field of pediatrics. I have always loved working with kids and would greatly enjoy getting more experience with them.
