Hi, my name is Laura. I am from a small town, Powell River BC, and recently moved into the Mission area. I am very family oriented. I come from a family of seven, being a middle child of five. While still living at home, I completed all my Lifeguard courses as well as Water Safety Instructor and had the privilege of teaching various levels of swimming lessons. I am also certified in my Standard First Aid as well as CPR C training. As I moved over closer to the city, I had the opportunity to care for two families with beautiful children which I adored. Now that I have moved, I am seeking another family to help care for. I love reading, writing, arts, crafts, swimming, all sports, and being outside no matter what the weather may be :) I would like part time work to help support my husband and I.

Growing up I have always been around children of all ages and that is where my love for kids started, I had always had lots of experience babysitting for close friends and family. During high school I took all my Lifeguard as well as Water Safety Instructor courses where I was able to teach swimming lessons to children of all ages. I had the privilege of caring for a family with 3 year old twin boys (February 2013- June 2013) as well as another family with a 6 month old girl (February 2013-Present/occasionally) when I first started watching her. My husband and I are currently living in the basement suite of relatives who have 7 year old down syndrome boy who I have had the opportunity of interacting with and caring for :)
