I have experience caring for children both with and without disabilities, ranging from new born to adolescent. Combined with my experience, I genuinely love children and am currently dedicating my post secondary education to the field of child welfare. As a requirement of various volunteer work with children I have undergone a Criminal Record Check and successfully completed First Aid “Level A”. With my education, experience, and enthusiasm I am confident I have the skills required to perform all duties required of the position. In addition to being personable and compassionate, I am also a self-starter who strives to be professional at all times. Full time availability until September 4th 2015 I will be returning as a student this September and would have part time availability

Currently I am a private live out child care provider for two children under the age of ten in the family home. My responsibilities include assisting children with homework and extra curricular activities; planning activities inside and outside of the home; maintaining the household while the parents aren't home; and all personal care for the children. I have been a volunteer with Operation Trackshoes and Queen Alexandra Hospital with my responsibilities including being a counselor for a person with disabilities for the event; teaching children with disabilities how to ride a bike at the bike camp, Lose the Training Wheels; relationship building with people with and without disabilities; a liaison with coordinators and disabled participant’s parents and/or caregivers; providing support, assistance, personal care and friendship. I have also provided childcare for a four year old and a one year old children in the family home. My responsibilities along with all personal care for the children were maintaining a household while the parents weren't home and planning activities inside and outside of the home for the children.
