I believe the child's mind is a creative one so I fully support the need to shape or teach in a creative environment for all children. This would involve crafts, music, outdoor play, imaginative play (ie. dress up), and the like. When interacting with children, I typically communicate with them by stemming off of their personalities and interests. I am capable of being fun & energetic. My behavioural management strategy is to offer choice to children and redirect unwanted behaviours, but I am open to strategies that the family most prefers. I am fully capable of controlling small and large groups of children with varying abilities, so I am confident I can handle 1-2 children. I have a passion for working with children and if you need references to confirm this, please request for it. Note: I'd love to be a nanny for 2 families (nanny share); if you've never done something like this, it saves you money while getting quality care for your children. I can also help guide each family on the logistics of this arrangement.

My experiences of working with families and children stem from a diversity of educational-based settings. Working with families and children of various cultural backgrounds, children with special needs or in need of individual attention/care, and children/families learning English as a second/foreign language are all part of those experiences. I’ve worked or have done cooperative education in daycares, schools, the community and private environments. The experiences I’ve gained over 9 years of working with children (aged 0 to 11 years) and families all gather as the foundation to my continued understanding of child development and family relations. I am confident that I can work to the needs of children and families and know that I’d be a valuable part of your family. Additional Experiences/Qualifications: Please request resume.

After receiving my diploma in Early Childhood Education at Seneca College, I furthered my studies at Ryerson University and attained a BA in Early Childhood Education. I then completed my certificate in Autism and Behavioural Science at Seneca College.
