I am Chantal, I am 20 and attending the University of the Fraser Valley to obtain my Bachelors in Child and Youth Care. I just finished my first year and will be beginning the second year in September. My ultimate goal is to become a Drug & Alcohol Counsellor in the community or school system. I currently work as a waitress, but am willing to change my schedule to accommodate the children's schedules, as long as it doesn't conflict with school. I worked as a babysitter in elementary and high-school, obtaining my baby-sitter's course and was just promoted to manager when I left my position at McDonald's where I was a role model and trainer to my crew. And for a bit about my personal life; I am currently trying to acquire some part-time volunteering at the methadone clinic in Abbotsford to learn about the treatment as it pertains to my career path. I recently got engaged, and since free time is sparse with studies and work, my day off is usually just spent with my fiance, and we both play instruments and enjoy playing those together. I welcome any part-time or full-time work, and as most of my classes are in the evening, daytime is appropriate for my schedule.

I was a babysitter in elementary and high-school working in the neighbourhood for all the children until they were old enough to not need me anymore. My main family's had children 1-10 years, and I would walk them to school, pick them up from school, feed them, change diapers and play with the children. I did obtain my babysitter's course in high-school and I have my first aid and CPR level 1 course. I worked as a crew trainer, team leader and manager at McDonald's, and we took training courses to learn how to talk to crew appropriately and the most effective way to be a role model and trainer to them. I have taken a few Early Childhood Education courses in University, and I am obtaining my Bachelor's in Child and Youth Care and I have my level 1 first aid and CPR courses.
