My name is Anna-Louise and I am seeking part-time employment as a Nanny in Vancouver. Born and raised in Switzerland by British parents, I am bilingual and speak both English and German fluently. I moved to Vancouver (Downtown) three months ago to accompany my partner who is doing his PhD at UBC. Back home in Switzerland I am a certified elementary school teacher with a Bachelor degree in education and have been teaching children of the ages 9-12 for the past 7 years. I would love to continue working with children during my stay here in Canada and am thrilled to have received an open work permit. In addition to my work as a teacher I also have lots of experience taking care of my little nephew and niece and frequently used to babysit for various families when I was a student. In 2011 I did two months voluntary work in a home for orphans and disabled whilst traveling through Vietnam, working with children of all ages and abilities. I am therefore also happy to work with babies and small children. Upon arriving in Canada I successfully finished a first aid course including CPR (in addition to previously completed first aid courses in Switzerland) and was trained as a lifeguard several years ago. As a teacher I am used to planning and organizing daily schedules and educational and fun activities. My years of teaching have also given me an abundance of ideas and experience that come in handy for arts and crafts projects, sports, games and outdoor adventures. I am an active, fun, reliable, patient and outgoing person with lots of interests including traveling, running, biking, swimming, reading, singing and playing the piano or guitar. I enjoy going to beaches and parks in all kinds of weather and love any kind of pet, especially dogs. It would be wonderful to find a nice and caring family where I can help contribute to making their children’s lives fun, interesting, healthy and secure.
