I am an artist and educator working in Montreal since 2019, originally from Toronto. I have CPR training, emergency first aid experience and police checks. I am looking for consistent, regular part-time nannying work. I am an energetic, friendly and responsible person with lots of experience caring for children. I really enjoy playing games and getting to know each child individually, making sure they feel comfortable with me. I love being silly and having fun, so I find it easy to relate to young kids right off the bat! I enjoy doing craft projects, cooking and baking. I spend my free time drawing, knitting and sewing, playing video games, and doing indoor rock climbing with my friends. J'ai un peu de français mais ce n'est pas très bon!! Ideally I would find a family living close to me in Rosemont-La Petit-Patrie or nearby in Le Plateau/Mile End/Outremont, although I am open to commuting. I do not drive, but am an avid cycler in warmer months, and walk or metro in the winter. More about my history: I grew up in Toronto, Ontario and spent 4 years living in Halifax attending NSCAD University. I completed my MFA in Painting and Drawing at Concordia University in the fall of 2022, and spent that year teaching an introductory drawing course for undergraduate students. Prior to graduate school, I worked at Trinity Square Cafe in Toronto, a not-for-profit cafe and mental health recovery program that facilitates skills development for adults living with mental illness. I have spent time working as a graphic designer, and as a retail consultant at art supply stores in Toronto and Halifax. I love working with people in all forms, and feel I have developed strong patience, preparedness, leadership and interpersonal skills across my spectrum of work experience. Currently, I am looking into obtaining the qualifications needed to become an elementary school teacher. I am passionate about kids and creativity and hope you consider me as a nanny for your family :) ****I am pet friendly! However, I am unfortunately very allergic to dogs. I am fine with cats and other furry pets, but dogs trigger my asthma quite severely. Something to keep in mind. ******

I have 15+ years of experience working with children across a range of positions. These include full and part-time nanny, babysitter, mother's helper caring for a newborn, camp counsellor, classroom assistant, and children's art instructor. I adore kids and have always found caring for them a natural fit. I have been fortunate to be able to work closely with my previous nanny family and their two kids, and I remain close with them to this day. I hope to find a similarly good fit here in Montreal! A bit more about my experience with children: Currently I am working as an occasional babysitter for a few families in my neighbourhood. The children I babysit right now range in age from 5 mo. to 3 years old. Typically I look after the kids in the afternoon and evening, prepare their food, read to them or play with them, then get them ready for bed. In my previous nannying job I cared for 2 young boys in Toronto, 17 mo. and newborn at the time I started, and 7 and 5 by the time I stopped working for them in order to return to school. My duties included entertaining the kids, taking them on walks and day trips to parks and museums, cooking and feeding them, changing diapers, putting them down for naps, cleaning the apartment and general errands as needed. I taught 2 children's art classes at Dundas Valley School of Art in Ontario during the summers of 2017 and 2018. My duties included planning and teaching painting and mixed media lessons to 4-11 year olds, introducing them to basic art theory, art games and crafts, and generally wrangling a classroom of energetic kids! While working as a camp counsellor at an overnight summer camp, I was in charge of my campers 24/7. I woke them up in the morning and got them ready for bed in the evening. I joined them at meals and made sure they were eating healthy food and feeling included in the group. I helped lead several overnight canoe trips, caring for my campers in the wilderness and dealing with whatever situation was thrown at us, whether it be thunder and lightning, extreme heat, or social problems like bullying or missing home.

I have a Master's degree in fine art from Concordia University and a Bachelor's degree from NSCAD University with a major in fine art. I have prior lifeguard and CPR training, and am certified in Emergency First Aid and CPR/AED with Canadian Red Cross since 2018.

I worked for Alicia and Joe taking care of their two sons, Zeppelin and Rocky, from 2014 to 2019. I really enjoyed working with their family, and we remain close to this day :) If you have any questions at all about how I am as a nanny or as a person in general, these are the people to talk to!

Dave Graham was Camp Director at Camp Kandalore during my time there as a counselor, as well as a camper. I learned a lot from Dave about working with kids of all ages and he has witnessed first-hand my abilities as a care-giver. Dave is now working at Brigadoon Village, a non-profit organization and summer camp in Nova Scotia for children living with disabilities
