I have enjoyed working with children of all ages for my entire career. I have learned a great deal about child development, including the uniqueness of each child and the importance of fostering good self-esteem, self-respect and a sense of belonging and acceptance. I have been fortunate to work with children in a variety of settings that include family homes, schools, recreational centers, and educational centers. Each of these experiences has helped me develop my skills as a child care provider. I am adept at activity programming, social skills training, and creating structure that is both sensitive to the child’s developmental needs and fun. I believe that I have a lot to offer in regards to caring for children and I would like the opportunity to have an interview with you to share my experience more fully. I hope you will consider my application and I look forward to hearing back from you.

I have 25+ years in childcare, and have spent the last 7 years of my career working as an educational assistant in a preschool. I also have a valid first aid and a current police check.

July 31, 2014 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this letter of reference on behalf of Tracey Estabrooks. I have known from working at the Heartland Agency for seven years. Tracey was my Educational Assistant in Preschool and during this time I had the opportunity to observe Tracey interact with students, co-workers, and parents. Tracey loves children. Besides working in the preschool, Tracey was the lead hand in the Before and After School Program. She is able to plan for both age groups and follows out the plans as needed. Tracey also took over the preschool class in my absence and had no difficulty with the children, the routines, or anything else that might arise during the day. The children loved Miss Tracey and she loved them back. Tracey interacted well with all her co-workers. If they needed help, Tracey was the first one there; if they needed Tracey to help with a bus run, Tracey was there; if they needed Tracey to work overtime, once again Tracey was there. Tracey was seldom absent over the six years I worked with her. Tracey interacted with the parents very well. Tracey had no problem answering their questions but would always guide them to myself if it would be a question for the teacher. Tracey is a very hard worker, a responsible colleague, and a great team player. She has many ideas to share, is willing to try new things, and will always lend a hand in any way she can. Tracey is dependable, enjoys working with children, and over the years, has become a great friend. I wish Tracey all the best in her future endeavors. Should you wish to ask further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Lori

July 31st, 2014 To Whom It May Concern: It is with pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Tracey. Tracey and I were first introduced in the Spring of 2008 at our then current place of work. Tracey was employed as an Educational Assistant & After School Care Worker. For a brief period, we worked together as coworkers, but in the Fall of 2008 my position changed when I was offered a management role to which I became Traceys immediate supervisor (up until June 2012). I had the privilege of watching Tracey assist in a preschool class. She brought an outgoing, bubbly, energetic approach. Tracey helped to create an atmosphere that was welcoming, safe, and secure all while remaining fun and lively. Tracey put forth many personal hours assisting with the planning and execution of unique, fun, and educational classroom centres. Tracey took on a lead role in the Out of School Care program, as well as Summer Camp. She was able to form a connection and bond with the school aged children that was very special. Tracey has the ability to create activities that are engaging and age appropriate, and she knows how to lead a group of energetic students. Tracey was always keeping safety at the forefront. The students were in very capable, and loving, hands when in Traceys care As an employee, Tracey was a delight to have as a team member. Her fun-loving and uplifting personality is infectious. On top of her enjoyable demeanor, she remains loyal, consistent, dedicated, and punctual. Tracey is able to work independently, but just as easily in collaboration with others. It has been a pleasure getting to know Tracey all of these years. she truly is a lovely woman and a dependable employee. I would consider Tracey an asset to any company, and would highly recommend her as a potential candidate for your organization. Sincerely, Kait
