I am an energetic 63 yr. old living in the Ocean Park area of Surrey, B. C. I am married & have one grown daughter. Three years ago our daughter took a leave of absence from her job to move with her husband & two children to Australia. After caring for our grandchildren for almost five yrs,. I found myself at a loss & began to travel. I miss having young children to interact with. I believe an opportunity such as being a Nanny has great rewards for not only children, their parents but also for myself. I was quite active with the children (1. 5 yrs & 4. 5 yrs old) while keeping them on a balanced schedule. I provided activities such as music time, arts/crafts, outdoor time in the yard, park & beach, we did lots of reading & I especially enjoyed singing to them before nap time. I like to keep things organized. I would have the children bathed, fed & ready for the parents when they returned from work. The parents didn't have a lot of time with them in the evenings before bed so I made sure the house/children were in order so they could spend as much time as possible with ea other. Hence the reason my son-in-law took another position in another country so he could have more family time. I did light household chores, cooking, cleaning, laundry to lighten their load as a family. Domestic activities I have always enjoyed. Before the children were born, I worked as an independent house keeper. I enjoyed my work but when the children arrived, I found a need to fill, for them & myself. In my spare time, I work out 3 days a week (since I don't have my grandchildren to keep me fit), I take Ukelele lessons and I spend my time with light gardening, painting & home decorating. I like to be around children, and I like to remain active as it gives me purpose while helping others at the same time.

I provided my work experience on last page. I gave great care to my grandchildren for almost 5 years. I did light housework, prepared meals for children, (started meals for the parents) I had the children from 8AM till 5 or 6PM.
