Friendly, caring and responsible babysitter or mentor. I enjoy spending one-on-one time with child & siblings, encouraging learning, being active, eating well and socializing with others. I take pride in my ability to make any situation fun (or character-building, at the very least) and helping kids develop kindness and confidence. I am a recent university graduate with an Art History degree from the University of Victoria and have relocated to my hometown of Comox to be closer to family. I am available for tutoring or helping with homework and am a certified TESL/TEFL instructor. My strengths as a caregiver are patience, positivity, and being quick on my feet. I am happy to share that my childhood consisted of reading lots of books, playing dress-up, building things with Lego, dance classes, figure skating, horseback riding and playing piano. I also spent many years as a Girl Guide. I was lucky to be surrounded by family and friends who supported my interests and encouraged me to try new things - I hope to work with a family who shares the same values.

Completed St John's Ambulance babysitting course. First Aid and CPR recertification available. Babysitting experience gained during highschool years, ranging from casual evenings to full days in the summer months. I maintained close relationships with neighborhood families until I left for university. I do not have preference in caring for boys or girls and enjoy organizing home-based activities as well as group games and outdoor play. Many years later, I have found work in other areas (event management, medical office assistant) but have always looked forward to interacting with kids and working closely with families in these positions. My volunteer experience working with children includes family-friendly art events and learning-based activities through the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria and the Royal BC Museum.
